Error c windows system32 DLL

Article Continues from Windows System32 DLL Error

So, you can fix a Windows system32 DLL error in several ways.

I don’t recommend them all.

For goodness sake, be sure to backup all your vital files before you try anything nuts.  Or don’t come cryin’ to me because your PC got wiped out.  Here we go:

1.  When you get the error for the first time, you can shut down your computer and reboot.  If it never occurs again you’ve been blessed by the genie of the computer and you can count yourself lucky.

Difficulty Level: Easy

2.  You can repair your system32 DLL error with a type of software called a registry cleaner.  Designed to identify problems causing errors and junk causing slow downs, registry cleaners delete junk and repair corrupted, error-causing files.

Difficulty: Easy (And pretty gentle on your wallet)

3.  You can try a system restore.  And if you know what restore points are, you’re half way to computer whiz already.  (Restore points are a backup of your computer core programming, not just work files.)  Go back to a date when you didn’t have the system32 DLL error and restore your system to that condition.  I caught the Trojan StartPage a few weeks ago and I had to restore my system to a date saved before my pc was infected.

Difficulty level: Moderate (You can do it if you haven’t disabled the creation of recovery points.)

4.  Reinstall the program that is triggering the system32 error.

Difficulty: Moderate

5.  Get the specific DLL file from the source.  If you know which program is suffering from system32 DLL problems you can recover the exact DLL file you need to correct the problem from the program disc or software manufacturer and replace it.  This involves tinkering with the files in the registry: deleting the problem file and adding the uncorrupted DLL back in place. It’s like handling TNT for your PC if you’re a regular Joe (or Josephine).

Difficulty: Hard

6.  You can take your pc to the repair shop and pay hundreds of dollars to someone who knows how to restore or reinstall in order to get your healthy DLL file back.  They will also run a anti-virus and a registry cleaner, by the way!

Difficulty: Easy (But hard on your wallet)

7.  You can open up the registry on your C drive and try tweaking it manually.  This is the Russian Roulette of computer repair unless you know what you are doing 100%. There may be hundreds of DLL files in your registry, and they may control vital computer functions you do not understand. (I wouldn’t mess with it.)

Difficulty: HARD

So, there you go.  Windows system32 DLL errors in a nutshell.  When I get one repeatedly, the first thing I do is run an anti-virus and then a registry cleaner.   It’s my one-two punch for computer quick fix.  This usually solves my errors quite nicely.

You can get a free scan by my favorite registry cleaner and it will tell you if it can repair your system32 DLL error or not. Five minutes, and you’ll know if it’s an easy fix.

I hope the genie of the computer is on your side!
