Runtime 21 Error
Getting runtime 21 error messages on your PC?
So are a lot of other people. Looks like there was a download-drive-by on a Facebook link and many innocent people got socked with a malware infection that causes this error. If you’ve got a ncsjapi32.exe file on your PC, you’re a victim.
It’s the malware causing that runtime 21 error.
There are several trojans dropping this file on PCs – Trojan.Buzus!sd6, W32.Koobface.B, and BackDoor-AWQ.b just to name a few. Malware is really exploding all over the Internet lately whether it’s viruses, worms, spyware, or adware. We are all fighting the good fight for our computers.
If you’ve got the Facebook infection, your specific error might read: ” Runtime Error 21 at 025149D2.” You might get additional error popups about your “personal settings” or you might see desktop icons temporarily disappear on your screen.
A registry cleaner is the easy fix for a runtime 21 error.
It’s a pain to deal with these hassles.
To fix this error permanently, you need at least two things: good anti-virus software and good registry cleaner. You need both because while anti-virus is very effective at cleaning malware invaders, a lot of malware is now using rootkit.
Rootkit is a clever hiding program, or bit of code, inside the WindowsTM registry. And your standard anti-virus scan doesn’t venture into the registry automatically, because those files are so vital to your computer function.
Casually deleting files inside the registry is very risky stuff.
You need the WindowsTM registry to remain intact. It’s the source of commands that tell your computer how to startup, access programs, communicate between programs, communicate between hardware… Well, basically you just REALLY need the registry to be 100% functional if your computer is going to be error clean and fast.
The runtime errors all come from the computer timing out because there is some failure to complete a process that you’ve initiated. For example, say you double click on a desktop shortcut to open a program. Your computer goes to the registry and accesses the DLL instructions that tell it how to accomplish what you’ve asked for.
But if malware stands in the way or has damaged the route, your PC gets blocked or bogged down. It tries again and again, but after a set amount of time it gives you some runtime error to let you know that it is taking too long to accomplish the task you’ve requested.
So that’s what’s happening inside your computer when you see runtime 21 error.
To fix it you’ll need to remove the malware (virus) and clean the registry of any hidden gunk. To avoid future runtime errors and other problems, you should run anti-virus and registry scans at least once a month. More often if you access the Internet a lot, process tons of email, or if you have multiple users accessing control settings.
Eliminate the Runtime 21 Error problem on your PC.
